As the global destination for online instruction, Udemy needed to claim its life-changing impact in the EdTech space. To own its story, we tapped into the experiences of Udemy students to show how they’ve been able to transform their lives through online learning. I led the creative direction of our Be Able campaign’s centerpiece film that featured Mohamad Alaloush, a Syrian refugee living in Berlin who studied Python on Udemy and led him to a career in the field. This work expanded Udemy’s global footprint beyond the transactional and brought humanity to the world’s largest education marketplace.
